The inaugural report highlights measurable progress across emissions, waste reduction and sustainable packaging development.
Pretium Packaging, a leading manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging, has released its inaugural sustainability report, detailing the company’s progress across environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives and reinforcing its commitment to helping brands navigate the growing complexity of sustainable packaging.
Prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the report covers the period of Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2025, and provides a comprehensive view of how Pretium aligns sustainability with operational performance, product innovation and long-term growth.
“Sustainability is fundamental to how we operate, grow and create value for our customers,” said James Rooney, CEO of Pretium Packaging. “This report reflects the tremendous progress we have made to align performance, innovation, and responsibility across our business.”
The report outlines measurable progress in 2025, including:
- 18% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions
- 21% reduction in waste generation compared with the previous year
- 32% of electricity consumption from carbon-free and renewable energy sources
These results, along with Pretium’s long-term commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, reflect the company’s broader strategy to embed sustainability into its operations and product development processes.
“As sustainability requirements evolve, our customers are being asked to balance performance, compliance and cost while moving faster than ever,” said Lisa Huett, director of Sustainability and ESG at Pretium Packaging. “Our role is to bring clarity to that process and help customers evaluate options, reduce risk and move forward with solutions that are both practical and scalable.”
Also highlighted in the report is Pretium’s progress in advancing sustainable packaging solutions, including increased use of post-consumer resins (PCR) and product innovations designed to reduce material usage while maintaining performance. The report also summarizes Pretium’s double materiality assessment, which helps to better identify and prioritize sustainability risks and opportunities across its value chain.
