Siplastics has developed a specific device for Ipsen that consists of a connected timestamp packaging to distribute auto-injecting needles.

This is a useful device to measure the correlation between the dispensing o the needle and the usage of the treatment, the device has been developed to stand a clinical trial. The goal is to measure if the patient (or the medical practitioner) takes a needle for auto-injection and at what time this happens. This only makes sense if we consider that if the patient takes a needle he will inject his treatment.

The timestamp system has many features that make it unique:

  • Any medical practitioner, nurse, patient or whoever is using the device is permitted an absolute control of the compliance. When the needle is taken, the device registers date & time and deducts it from the global amount.
  • Our device is always connected to the smartphone application; it can collect the patient’s compliance data and sends them to authorized person.
  • Designed to be maintenance free with 5 years of guaranteed operation on a single battery.
