TKPC's Water-Shielded Pumps

  • TKPC

Pumps used in the shower often have water seep in, making the products they dispense less effective, as they become diluted.

TKPC has released the latest version of its water-shielded pumps, perfect for personal care products that spend a lot of time near water, such as shampoos, conditioners, body gels, and more.

The pumps feature a cleverly constructed top that shields the joint between the pump mechanism and the bottle from water incursion. Each bottle of the new series is pretty much guaranteed to allow the entry of such little water that consumers will notice their products are effective from first use through last.

The new design went through rigorous testing, using a fairly simple procedure: after unlocking the pump head, water was poured over it for five seconds, after which the pump was actuated. Then the process was repeated 100 times, with not only the new pump, but also with two randomly selected pumps purchased locally, and the first generation of the waterproof pump undergoing the same treatment. After testing, the results were staggering. The randomly selected pumps allowed 87.23ml and 35.27ml to enter respectively. The company's first generation only allowed 9ml to enter whereas the latest version only allowed 0.833ml in!

Less water in means less dilution, which in turn results in a more effective product, a big plus for consumers. And happy consumers mean more sales. A big win, from TKPC!
