At around Christmas, being the season to be jolly and all that, we at the Marketing team decided to get off our desks and do a little – give a little, move a little, cheer a little, play a little… you get the gist right?
On Wednesday 19th December, we went to the football ground of St Patricks School in Sliema, were we met some of the boys residing there and their leaders.
Although the boys at first seemed shy and reserved, a couple of jokes soon broke the ice and the kids’ competitive spirit took over… or shall we say everyone’s competitive spirit given that at one point there were more grownups than kids stomping around trying to burst the others’ balloons.
The marketing split into two groups, some of us chatted and played with the kids whilst others ran a face painting corner as the boys teased each other who got the coolest splash of colour on their face.
At the end of what seemed too short a couple of hours, we gave the boys a small gift each and in return received a ton of gratitude and a good dose of cheer and happiness, truly fitting the festive season.
Following the success of this first community outreach by the Marketing team, we are already discussing plans for more events to help the local community as part of Toly’s CSR initiatives.

As part of Toly’s #Make a positive impact campaign, a team from the marketing department went to visit the ‘Merħba Bik’ women’s shelter, an NGO to support women and children who lived through the nightmare of any act of violence. While physical abuse is visible and recognisable, other forms of violence are more difficult to identify.
Toly Makes a Positive Impact this Valentine's Day
Valentine’s is the day we celebrate love, a day of gratitude where we want to offer gifts to someone and bring joy in seeing a smile on that special someone’s face. When Toly came in contact with brother Johan, a Salesian of Don Bosco and got exposed to all the wonderous things they plan on building for the Salesian kids. We knew instinctly that by helping in donating it wasn’t one smile we were reaching but the smile of many which touched Toly’s heart.
To mark Women’s Day, Toly took the initiative and organised a 'MAKE UP - MAKE OVER DAY'. The Toly volunteers visited a shelter for abused women called “Ghabex”. This home takes in women and their children who have suffered domestic violence and helps give them stability and support to rebuild their life.
The President of Malta hosts the Sales Team
During the 2013 Sales Meeting, all participants were invited to San Anton Palace to meet the President of Malta, His Excellency Dr. George Abela. In a short presentation, the President highlighted that Toly was an integral part of Malta’s Industrial development and he wished the company ongoing success.
