On May 9th, 1969, Toly Products was registered as a legal entity in Malta. This was the first time the name Toly was used, as prior to this, the associated companies in the UK had different names.
Therefore, earlier this month Toly celebrated 50 years of its existence.
In 1970, Toly was allocated its first factory in Malta, and 1971 was the first year of operations.
Toly started in Malta with a commitment to employ just 40 people, and today it has nearly 500 people working in Malta, and more than 1,100 across the group.
From one single unit, last year the company occupied six factory units as well as separate corporate offices with an integrated innovation centre.
Over the past two years, Toly has invested heavily in Malta, as it migrates all of its production into a brand new, state of the art manufacturing facility.
With space for 68 moulding machines, fully automated assembly, the latest technology in decorating and in-house metallising, lacquering, and mirror cutting, Toly has re-imagined its business and is now gearing up for Industry 4.0.
Whilst Malta is the lead factory for the group, Toly also has manufacturing plants in China and Korea, partners in the USA, Colombia, and Japan, and has diversified its product portfolio to include packaging components across Makeup, Skincare, and Fragrance, as well as the promotional category.
Having achieved €100 million in sales in 2018, the group is now scaling up its operations worldwide, and is creating a global beauty product development platform.
Toly is proud of what it has achieved over the past 50 years, constantly adapting to the changing market.

Toly pivots its resources together with other Maltese companies to create mechanical breathing device to support local health authorities during the Covid 19 crisis
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has put a strain on the medical and healthcare facilities as well as global economy. It has also highlighted the need for more investment and thought being put into simple medical devices which are specifically design for rapid manufacturing and deployment.
Toly Products and CVA Silicone have signed an exclusive alliance to disrupt the beauty applicator world. Both company's have decided to partner in developing amazing new application systems to bring value to both brands and their consumers. The two companies will co-develop highly innovative applicators, with a specific focus on silicon, which will be manufactured by CVA Silicone and sold by Toly Products. This strategic and exclusive agreement was fostered by complementary strengths and know-how as well as strong common values.
Toly Group Visit Deputy Prime Minister
June 2019 will see Toly Group opening a new manufacturing factory in Malta, with an investment of €20 million. Toly has been manufacturing make-up packaging in Malta since 1971, being the first to launch operations from the Bulebel Industrial Zone. The company employs over 1000 employees worldwide, of which 350 work from Malta.

Toly signs exclusive partnership with Hung Hing for beauty
With its heritage in plastic packaging, over the past few years Toly has broadened its product offering to include luxury paper packaging. In 2012, Toly formed Toly Deluxe and partnered with Hung Hing Offset Printing to offer its customers luxury rigid paper over board packaging.
Toly Korea Manufacturing officially opens its brand new factory
Earlier this year, Toly's latest manufacturing plant was officially opened - Toly Korea Manufacturing (TKM), in Bucheon City, Seoul. Toly's history in Korea goes back nearly 15 years and today represents over one third of the Group's revenue.
Toly Scoops the awards at the 1st Malta International Business Awards
Toly Group wins the prestigious award as Exporter Of The Year in the Large Business Category, as well as the Overall winner across all categories including innovation and the potential for continued growth. 2017 is proving to be the most successful year in the history of the company. At the end of October, Group sales were almost 30% up on 2016.
On 19th January, 2015 the Prime Minister of Malta, in the presence of many distinguished guests, officially opened Toly's brand new corporate offices with integrated innovation centre. Over the past 5 years all of Toly's corporate functions have been moved to Malta including; marketing, design, innovation, group finance, logistics and information technology.
