Trivium launches Digital Colour Proofing

  • Trivium Packaging

The name Trivium comes with a pedigree that represents some of the most outstanding aerosol and dispensing packaging developments in the cosmetic and personal care sector over the past few decades.

Trivium Packaging was formed in 2019 when Ardagh Group’s food and speciality business merged with Exal Corporation to create a world leading metal packaging company. With innovation, consumer service and sustainability at the core of its operation, Trivium is launching new products and processes at ADF 2020 to add value and increase opportunities for brand differentiation.

Trivium, the world’s largest manufacturer of steel and aluminium aerosols, will be showcasing examples covering its wide portfolio. Also on display are threaded bottles with a wide choice of cap and neck finishes, favoured not only for their environmental credentials, but as stylish and convenient solutions for premium bath, body and skin products.

Digital Colour Proofing (DCP)

Another highlight on the company’s stand R11 is the launch of Digital Colour Proofing (DCP), a unique service to customers that provides greater control and flexibility throughout the packaging design and development process to reduce lead times and meet requirements for smaller and changing volumes.

“We are able to provide what we believe to be the most sophisticated and cost effective colour management system on the market because of our collective experience with the digitalisation of graphic and printing processes,” says Trivium’s Victorien Dorier, Key Account Manager aerosols and aluminium bottles in France.

All customer colours are digitised and stored in a central colour management database so that design options can be instantly viewed and adjusted within the framework of standard brand parameters. Proofs can be generated on the actual metal substrate to provide a totally realistic impression of the finished packaging.

DCP works alongside Trivium’s 3D Studio, which launched in 2019 and enables customers to visualise artwork iterations in the form of a 3D model from the earliest stage of packaging development right through to completion, and all in the blink of an eye.

“We are very fortunate to offer our customers packaging solutions that are 100 percent and infinitely recyclable and therefore meet today’s demand for the most sustainable materials,” explains Martin de Olde, Trivium’s European Marketing and Business Development Manager.

He adds: “But equally important in today’s highly competitive market place is to work closely with our customers throughout the product development cycle from concept to completion. With DCP and our 3D Studio we have created the ideal environment for inspirational as well as practical and sustainable packaging.”
