Weber adds Markoprint Thermal Inkjet Systems to product offerings

  • Weber Packaging Solutions

With the growing need to include additional on-demand information to labels as they are being applied, Weber Packaging Solutions has added the Markoprint XJet line of thermal inkjet coders as an option to their label applicator systems.

The Markoprint X1 Jet is a stand-alone thermal inkjet coder that is simple to operate and can add high-resolution information up to 0.5” high. The X1 uses a reliable HP inkjet cartridge with an integrated printhead. Loading information files is easy via Ethernet or USB drive.

You can select and print up to 9 different messages stored via a USB drive. The X1 can print up to 295 feet (90 meters) per minute with a selectable horizontal resolution of 50 to 900 dpi and vertical resolution of 300 to 600 dpi. It can use internal or external sensors, rotary or shaft encoders, and is available with a wide range of inks for various applications.

The Markoprint X2 Jet also uses HP inkjet cartridges but has two print heads for a total print height of 1”. The system includes the X2 Jet controller with integrated keyboard and 3.5” x 4.5” digital display. The controller allows the printheads to code together on one message or to operate separately on two different production lines.

The X2 Jet can print codes up to 590 feet (180 meters) per minute with a selectable horizontal resolution of 50 to 900 dpi and vertical resolution of 300 to 600 dpi. You can print high-resolution text, barcodes or graphic images on a wide range of materials with one of the Markoprint HP ink cartridges.

These Markoprint coders can be easily mounted on one of Weber’s primary label application systems to print high-resolution messages, date and lot codes, and more with a minimum of maintenance.
