General Business Services, Educational, Training Services

In addition to receiving direct leads for your company on webpackaging, as a certified supplier and webpackaging member company you also have access to view all of the open Requests for Quote (RFQs). This opens up further sales opportunities for your company from brands and packaging buyers from around the world as webpackaging certified suppliers are provided with full details regarding the product that is required, along with the relevant contact information, in order to make direct contact and supply a quote.

What is a RFQ?

A RFQ is an extra sales opportunity for webpackaging certified suppliers. As a well-known industry site that is unique to the packaging industry, webpackaging regularly receives enquiries from brands, suppliers and industry professionals that want to purchase packaging, but have been unable to source just the right product, or perhaps want to compare costs and services.

Where are the RFQs on webpackaging?

To view the current RFQs, navigate to the Tools menu, then click Quotes.

The RFQ page will open up to show the most recent quotes first and the page also offers a search facility.

Viewing the full RFQ details

In order to view the full details of the RFQ, including the buyer's name, company and contact details, you must be logged on to webpackaging. The full details are only offered to webpackaging members. Non-members cannot access any more than the RFQs basic search, for example "Request for 100ml PET bottles".

If you are unable to open a RFQ and view the full details of the request, then we suggest you check you are indeed logged on, and that your company's membership has not lapsed.

Validated sales leads

Prior to publishing a Request for Quote, the webpackaging team will contact the packaging buyer to ensure the validity of their RFQ and check details to ensure that webpackaging members have access to the most relevant information when preparing a quotation.

The RFQ page includes enquiries for a variety of different packaging products with sales opportunities for both smaller and larger MOQs.

Contacting a RFQ

Webpackaging offers its members full access to the buyer's contact information so that they may contact them directly by email, and telephone where available. There is no limit to the number of RFQ enquiries that a webpackaging member company can respond to.

View the latest RFQs and see which of them are relevant to your company.

Can RFQs be received directly?

Yes. When the webpackaging team has verified the requirements of the buyer, the RFQ is published for members to view. At the same time, the webpackaging team will also forward the enquiry to the companies that are the best match for that enquiry. On occasion, you may receive a RFQ enquiry that is not 100% suitable for your company, howeve,r we prefer that you and your sales team have the opportunity to review the RFQ and decide this for yourselves in order to maximise your sales opportunities.

For how long is a RFQ valid?

When searching for packaging components and packaging suppliers, buyers want to receive information quickly. Therefore we keep RFQs viewable online for a period of 2 months. Equally, when a RFQ is urgent, we will mark this on the enquiry, along with any relevant deadline dates that we are given by the buyer.

Can webpackaging suppliers submit RFQs?

Yes. Webpackaging member companies can also submit RFQs in order to complete a project or find new packaging suppliers. Simply submit your RFQ directly and we'll publish the RFQ for you once we've checked the information.
