For many years, Weener has been supplying Beiersdorf worldwide with various packaging solutions as a partner in the development of a large number of innovative projects. One of these projects is the complete packaging for the deodorant Nivea Deo Roll on for men, which Beiersdorf markets in South America. The three-part packaging is produced by the Weener subsidiary in Mexico. Weener Mexico uses the injection blow-moulding process which offers several advantages.
With this method, the Deo-Roller consists entirely of plastic, which presents major advantages in terms of product weight and economy - and is, in addition, appreciated by the end-consumers when it comes to handling. In this context, the injection blow-moulding process combines the precision achieved in injection moulding with the diverse design and creative possibilities, which are in turn provided by blow-moulding.
Despite foregoing a precisely coordinated fitment, the special art in the manufacture of a complete Deo Roll-on packaging in the injection blow-moulding process is definitely the guarantee of air-tight packaging. This requires exact coordination of the bottle and roll-on ball components. Weener has achieved optimum success in this area with its "Nivea Deo Roll on for men" project.
At the centre of the sales market in Mexico, Weener produces the Deo bottle including roll-on ball and corresponding cap for the Latin American market as commissioned by Beiersdorf. The bottle is available in 25ml and 50ml volumes in various colour variations. As a result, Beiersdorf receives another complete packaging system for male and female deodorants from just one source, from Weener Mexico.
The Hamburg based company has widely increased its orders for the range of deodorants in the last couple of month, adding colours and developments.
