Weener Plastics (WP), headquartered in The Netherlands, has acquired the shares and operations of Orange Products Plasticos Ltda in Brazil (OPB) from Orange Products Inc (OPI) and C-Pack, its current shareholders. The transaction was closed on 11 October 2017 for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition is in line with WP's M&A strategy.

The OPB site, strategically located in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, Santa Catarina, is a leading manufacturer of Roll-on Balls for deodorants and has served large A-brands and local brands for the past 6 years. WP is committed to continue the high service that OPB has given to its customers and build on the knowledge and experience of the local team in Brazil.

Mr. Paul Sachdev, CEO Orange Products, comments: "Although OPB enjoyed our customers' support and confidence since 2011, the operation was never able to expand beyond the manufacture of plastic roll-on balls. The acquisition by WP will allow OP Brazil to grow its product line and customer base into new markets. I am confident that the OPB team will continue to service the customer requirements with the same level of care they have provided since the start of the OPB operation."
