ADF&PCD PARIS 2018 is a unique concept that groups together two highly synergistic events. The first, leading packaging event of the year, it is no doubt the European professional reference in aerosol, spray and dispensing systems and cosmetics packaging innovation. Every year, it brings together all the players in perfumes & cosmetics, in addition to the pharmaceutical, food, automotive and other sectors. An event not to be missed, ADF&PCD has long been acclaimed by brands and industry.

This year’s edition features a new, more spacious, highly functional venue, a bigger exhibition area, outstanding new additions, a growing number of exhibitors and an international thrust. In order to address a professional audience, the event proposes a programme with a wealth of activities, meetings, innovations …

Over these two days, participants will be able to attend meetings, conferences and activities on the themes deemed a priority for the market. The winners of the ADF&PCD Awards, a recurrent highlight of the event, will be designated during the exhibition with a view to rewarding the most outstanding innovations of the year.

How is the 2018 edition of ADF&PCD PARIS shaping up? Everything is shaping up extremely well. Once again, the event will be full. Over 480 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance, including 129 newcomers.

After all these resoundingly successful editions, what are the new developments to further the progression of this event ? The format of the plenary conferences is changing this year. Our team has worked hard, conducting market research, meeting brands and industries, to understand their challenges and incorporate them into a high-level conference programme. The round table discussions will address global trends in Europe and the world, customer relations and regulations, and, of course, sustainable development and innovation, leading topics at ADF&PCD.

A series of fascinating subjects will thus be proposed this year to attendees during these 2 days in the form of « panel discussions » where brands, design agencies and experts will come to describe their vision and stance. Furthermore, you will discover new events at the heart of the exhibition, like the Accelerator Zone, specifically dedicated to the start-ups selected on the strength of their innovations in terms of materials and/or substances, etc. These young companies have addressed environmental and/or economic issues, inter alia. Or the Innovation & Technology Theatre (ITT), a conference area at the heart of the event, open to all, where exhibitors will showcase their new products in an interactive manner.

In 2016, Easyfairs bought the Pentawards to round off its global packaging event portfolio. As this event is now a component part of our group, we have set aside a dedicated area at ADF&PCD PARIS 2018 for the Pentawards; they are a permanent exhibition that travels around the world to present the prize-winners and thus the most surprising, innovative packaging in the world. For the first time, ADF&PCD will be equipped with NFC+ technology!

Our exhibitors and visitors innovate, and so do we! All the attendees will thus be equipped with « smart badges » to collect digital information at exhibitor stands and receive a summary of their visit ! qq Tell us about the ADF&PCD AWARDS given at ADF&PCD? It is true that they are another one of the event highlights. Every year, a few weeks before the event, the numerous products in competition are assessed according to the various criteria pertaining to their category by the members of the ADF and PCD Juries. These two days are packed with exchanges and debates; it is always a wonderful, very friendly moment, and a means to highlight progress in the industry and reward the teams that worked on these projects!

The ADF Awards are designed to promote technological innovations in aerosol packaging and dispensing systems and the PCD Awards are a genuine springboard for numerous innovations launched on the cosmetics packaging market in the course of the year. The winners will be announced during the event, at the official ADF&PCD Awards ceremonies, which reward and showcase team achievements and launches in 2017.

The conference and round table programme is so rich and varied that it cannot be summed up in just a few words. It does, however, follow certain guidelines, certain key principles which the organizers, exhibitors and visitors at ADF&PCD are deeply attached to : novelty, interactivity, expertise, passion… Following numerous exchanges with purchasers, brand owners and suppliers in the packaging and aerosols industry over the past few months, the organizers are offering an ambitious content this year, that is ever more in tune with visitors’ needs and expectations: presentations on future trends, technical case studies, legislative updates, examples of successes and failures, prospects to overcome the challenges in the beauty, automotive or pharmaceutical industry, particularly in terms of aerosols, etc.

Who has won the ADF&PCD Paris 2018 Awards?

Over the years, the ADF and PCD Awards have become a veritable institution for cosmetic packaging and the aerosol and dispensing system industry markets. The goal of these ADF&PCD Awards is to reward and highlight cosmetics, aerosol and dispensing system innovations placed on the European and international market in the course of 2017. Two prestigious juries made up of experts, professionals and journalists, assessed 73 candidates. The nominations have been made and the awards will be presented at the upcoming edition of ADF&PCD Paris.

Why have ADF&PCD Paris 2018 become an absolute must?

Modern packaging conveys emotions and provides real added value. Emerging technologies make packaging ever more attractive, but behind the apparent simplicity of an end product lies a whole world of innovations at work, constantly on the watch, and in a state of perpetual evolution.
