Aptar ranks in the top 200 of Just Capital’s “Americas Most JUST Companies 2022”

We are pleased to share that Aptar was ranked in the Top 200 of Just Capital’s “Americas Most JUST Companies 2022” out of the 954 public companies analyzed by the organization. Aptar ranks 4th amongst 32 companies classified in the Building Materials & Packaging Industry.

For this year’s rankings, Just Capital identified 20 priorities for just business behaviors, based on a survey of 3,000 Americans. Top issues related to the five key ranked categories: Workers, Communities, Shareholders & Governance, Customers, and Environment. Aptar ranks above our industry average for each of these five categories.

Notably, Aptar is ranked first in our industry in the category of Environment (how a company reduces its environmental impact) and 18th overall in this category. Aptar remains focused on creating more sustainable products and is commitment to addressing climate change. JUST Capital measures environmental performance using several metrics including carbon emissions, pollution reduction, and industry-specific metrics on sustainable products and services.

Aptar Realigns Two of its Business Reporting Segments

Aptar announced that it will realign two of its business reporting segments effective January 1, 2023. Aptar’s two renamed reporting segments will be Aptar Closures and Aptar Beauty. The Company’s Pharma segment remains unchanged.

Aptar announces the ISCC Plus certifications of EMEA manufacturing sites

Aptar is pleased to announce the ISCC Plus certification (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) of 10 of our European manufacturing sites, including all of our manufacturing sites in Spain and Italy, with more certifications to come in 2022.

Aptar announces the completion of the acquisition of a majority stake in Voluntis

Aptar announced today that following the signature of a share purchase agreement on July 22, 2021 and the approval of the French Ministry of Economy under the foreign investment clearance regulations, it has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Voluntis from the company’s reference shareholders and certain members of the management.

AptarGroup has announced that it has joined the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, the world’s largest citizenship initiative, which focuses on universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

Aptar achieves ISO 14064 certification for energy and greenhouse gas emission reporting

Every year Aptar undergoes data assurance as part of our sustainability reporting. This year we added a process to assure emissions associated with raw materials, travel, and the shipment of our products. Also new this year is the official ISO certification.

Aptar to acquire FusionPKG, a leader in turnkey solutions for the beauty market

AptarGroup has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Fusion Packaging. The transaction, which is expected to be accretive to Aptar’s Beauty + Home segment margins, is subject to customary closing conditions.

Aptar opens new sales office in Dubai

Aptar celebrated the official opening of its new Aptar Dubai office during an inauguration ceremony, which took place on November 27, 2019 at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Resort, Dubai. The sales office is shared by all three segments of Aptar – Beauty + Home, Food + Beverage and Pharma.

Aptar's Activ-Blister packaging solution approved by US FDA for oral solid dose HIV prevention medicine

AptarGroup has announced that its Activ-Blister packaging solution for oral solid dose drug delivery was recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a HIV prevention medicine. The system protects oral solid drug products with a 3-Phase Activ-Polymer solution that is fully integrated into the blister package.

Aptar to acquire a strategic equity Interest in BTY, a leading Chinese color cosmetics packaging manufacturer

AptarGroup has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire a 49% equity interest in three related BTY companies: Suzhou Hsing Kwang (“SZHK”), Suqian Hsing Kwang (“SQHK”) and Suzhou BTY (“BTY”), collectively referred to as BTY. The BTY entities are leading Chinese manufacturers of high quality, decorative metal components, metal-plastic sub-assemblies, and complete color cosmetics packaging solutions for the beauty industry.

Aptar enters into strategic partnership with PureCycle to accelerate integration of ultra-pure recycled polypropylene into dispensing solutions

AptarGroup, Inc, a global leader in dispensing, drug delivery and active packaging solutions, announced that it has partnered with PureCycle Technologies, to prepare for the introduction of PureCycle’s Ultra-Pure Recycled Polypropylene (UPRP) into dispensing applications. Aptar will play an integral role in helping PureCycle prepare for the food grade requirements in Europe.

Aptar partners with TerraCycle's Loop

AptarGroup, Inc., a global leader in dispensing, drug delivery and active packaging solutions, announced today that the company has entered into a partnership with Loop, a global circular shopping platform from TerraCycle that delivers consumer products in reusable containers. As part of the partnership agreement, Aptar’s President of Food + Beverage, Marc Prieur, will sit on Loop’s advisory board.

Aptar joins the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s CE100 Circular Economy network

AptarGroup, Inc. has joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Economy 100, the world’s leading circular economy network. Aptar joins the World Business Council for Sustainable Development

Aptar signs the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment

AptarGroup, Inc. has announced that it has signed the New Plastics Economy Global Commitment and has joined forces with other businesses and governments committed to changing how we produce, use and reuse plastic. The Global Commitment, through the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, has mobilized over 250 signatories that are determined to start building a circular economy for plastic.
