    Scent Perfique – Perfect Packaging
    To enhance their range of glass candles Scent Perfique worked with Bell Packaging to develop a unique range of wraps which gives the product protection and are perfect for retail display.

    Brief: Supplied flat packed, the wraps are made using a special grade of recycled PP film. The translucent effect allows customers to see the product, whilst enhancing the appearance of the finished candle.

    Available in small order quantities, Scent Perfique have added the wraps to their standard range of candle accessories and can also be customised for corporate branding.

They quickly grasped what we needed and provided numerous samples to ensure the final design was correct. Bulk delivery arrived within days of the final approval which allowed selling in the key Christmas period and with Spring around the corner the range is complete and we look forward to developing other packaging projects with Bell in the future”.

    Jetran® packaging has been selected for the new range of Nova pencils. Widely acclaimed as the worlds’ leading design of retractable pencils, Nova has launched the range in Europe and Asia.

    Seen for the first time at the recent Paperworld exhibition in Germany, the company have been flooded with orders. Commenting on the success PDD Head for Camlin Manik Salunkhe stated “We designed the product using colours to differentiate the range of pencil sizes. This makes it easy for the customer to identify which pencil is best for them.

    “We wanted to create a unique packaging in line with our environmental credentials. We briefed a number of agencies and found that the Jetran pack answered all our wishes. The end caps in the pack have been colour matched to our pantone references and the finished packs have a fantastic presence as a retail display.

    “More importantly the Jetran® pack has secondary use – firstly for distribution and display and secondly the end customer has packaging they can use for storage and re-use”.

    The finished design is very colourful and stands out from the competition when it is in store.

    For security the packs are secured using self-adhesive holographic labels.

    In bulk production the packaging is supplied in component form with the tubing packed flat and the end caps separate. This makes shipping and storage very economic – also the carbon footprint of this packaging is very low.

    The clear tubing is made using a recycled grade of PET film and the end caps have a 40% recycled content. Following the successful launch repeat orders have been placed and new designs of packaging for other stationery products within the Camlin range are being worked on.

    Henkel, world leading producers of adhesives and sealing compounds, have repackaged their Loctite Torque Marque 7414 Warranty Seal.

    Brief: Traditionally packed in bulk and shipped in outers of 48, the product has not been available in a single protective pack. New marketing initiatives to bring this product to a wider audience were initiated and packaging was identified as a simple solution of allowing customers to buy the product in single units.

    Conclusion: Research to find the best package was carried out and the Jetlok® pack was finally chosen as the solution.

    Reusable, recyclable and cost effective were three key areas of the decision, not forgetting the fact that the Jetlok® pack is transparent so no additional labeling was required. Selecting a standard size with no tooling or origination the packaging is secure and yet can be opened and closed so that the product remains safe on the shelf and easy to store.

    Quoting on the design Colin Chapman from Henkel referred to Bell as an ideal partner for Henkel “responsive and professional in their approach the Jetlok® pack provides the best packaging at the right price. It is early days how successful this will be in the new markets but it is a great way of presenting a new product and we are keen to use this type of packaging for other items in our range”.

    When launching his new Mens Skincare brand Flint Edge, Ratan Daryani contacted Luton based Bell Packaging for a solution. An initial meeting identified the need for high quality transparent packaging to help promote sales of trial size products in three different categories.

    During the meeting numerous samples and designs were produced and discussed and the decision was made to use Jetran® Boxes. Jetran® Boxes (which are exclusive to Bell Packaging) consist of a tube-made central section with clip on Caps top and bottom that lock to the central Tube giving a strong and secure means of packing and displaying the product.

    Available in Rectangular and Square profiles Jetran Boxes can be produced in almost any width and height, between 25mm and 100mm in depth, and also benefit from no Origination charges. Having approved pre-production samples, Bell Packaging produced and delivered the initial requirement of boxes within three weeks to coincide with the launch of the Brand.

    Brand owner Ratan Daryani commented “The service that Bell Packaging offers is second to none. Their understanding of my requirement and the Personal Care Market meant they were able to offer an almost instant cost-effective solution to the brief.

    They further enhanced this by then providing a number of pre-production samples to allow my packers to familiarize themselves with the product before delivering the bulk within three weeks, allowing the launch of Flint Edge to take place on time. The brand is now growing and I’m sure I will be working with Bell Packaging again in the future.”
