BillerudKorsnäs’s sustainability work highly ranked in study

  • Billerud
Europe, Nordic Countries, Sweden

BillerudKorsnäs's sustainability work ranks along a group of companies with the top results in a study of companies listed on the NASDAQ OMX Large Cap Index.

The focus of the study is on what companies communicate on sustainability, as against what they have reported on implementation. It was conducted by a team of students at the Stockholm School of Economics, on behalf of the Misum Centre for Sustainable Markets. One conclusion of the report is that at most companies words exceed actions. BillerudKorsnäs however, gets high marks for both communication and actions reported.

Misum (the Mistra Centre for Sustainable Markets) plays an important role in the School's work to promote sustainability and social issues being included as serious areas of both research and training/education. Misum is funded by Mistra, (the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research).
