The future of coffee dispensing is here... and it is pouchless!

    • Bisio Progetti

The way to enjoy a cup of coffee changes every day, thanks to the latest dispensing and packaging solutions. Packaging plays an important role: a good pack should facilitate either the distribution process or the final consumption as well as make the product look more attractive. This particularly applies for coffee and coffee capsules; the modern and good looking coffee concept for making coffee at home.

Bisioprogetti, a Guala Group Company, has been leading this growing market drawing from over 25 years of experience in mould manufacturing and packaging research.

It is many years since Bisioprogetti produced its first capsule. The first projects were custom ventures. Later as the markets developed, Bisioprogetti led the way in studies for a new coffee packaging method. Today, the company has some of the best knowledge of the market in which it is present with lots of new and interesting proposals for the future of coffee dispensing.

The first own product by Bisioprogetti to be made and launched was the click capsule, which is still achieving enormous success. It is compatible with the Nespresso machine and it is based on a special technology studied for the best preservation of the coffee's aroma and taste.

The capsule has two different patents; one for its unique activation design and the other for its sealing system. The cap activates by needle and water pressure thanks to the click-clack top, while the sealing system is designed to avoid water leaking out from the coffee machine.

    New product: Oxygen Barrier Capsule

A new product to be released shortly is the Oxygen Barrier Capsule, which combines the application of Polyester with Bisioprogetti's patented design for the coffee cap. The evolution of the Oxygen Barrier Cap is in the rigid and resistant material employed as polyester is demonstrated to be one of the best performers in preventing oxygen from penetrating the capsule.

The key difference with the Oxygen Barrier cap is that it insulates with no need for any other pack. It is able to protect the coffee from the external agents and oxygen. It is an excellent solution to reduce overpackaging and eliminate the pouch that envelopes the capsules, so they can be set directly into the final box.

The first model of the Oxygen Barrier Cap to be launched will have 3 openings, be available in different colours, and it is particularly recommended for coffee, hot chocolate, tea and infusions.
