Upside-Down Spray Pump Systems

As dermal applications are often difficult to be applied in an upright position, at Bona Pharma, we’ve developed an upside-down spray pump. The upside-down system can be used with nasal or oral or topical actuators and the dosage can be customized. Consumers can spray either upright or upside down based on the application need. This system can be adapted to different volumes and neck sizes of plastic & glass bottles.

The Upside-Down Spray Pump can be dispensed in inverted positions for nasal, oral or dermal applications.

Upside-down spray pumps are often used for drugs that require easy application to hard-to-reach areas or precise delivery. Drugs and medical products that can be delivered using upside-down spray pumps include but not limit to the following:

Topical Pain Relief Sprays: Medications like lidocaine or menthol-based sprays for pain relief can be applied to areas like the back or lower legs using upside-down pumps.

Nasal Sprays: Certain nasal decongestants or corticosteroids (e.g., fluticasone) can come in upside-down spray pumps to ensure even distribution inside the nasal cavity.

Throat Sprays: Medicated throat sprays, such as those containing antiseptics or anesthetics (e.g., phenol), often use upside-down spray pumps for easy application to the back of the throat.

Wound Care Sprays: Antiseptics or wound-healing sprays can be applied to hard-to-reach wounds, like on the feet or back, using this mechanism.

Dermatological Sprays: Medications for skin conditions, such as antifungal sprays or steroids for rashes and eczema, are often applied using upside-down spray pumps for better coverage.
