High performance lidding for Hershey’s Spreads

Hershey’s Spreads is a line of chocolate spreads inspired by Hershey’s iconic, pure chocolate flavor.  Hershey’s Spreads is available in a single-serve snack option, Hershey’s Snacksters, that contains both Hershey’s chocolate spread and graham dippers.

Hershey’s Snacksters comes in a dual cavity container that separates the chocolate spread component from the graham dipping sticks. The base container is made of PP and is provided by Technimark, LLC. The HPL (High Performance Lidding) material is produced by Constantia Blythewood and printed by Constantia Colmar. This lidding specification has a good heat seal ability allowing it to function with multiple materials, barrier properties necessary for extended shelf-life requirements, heat resistant to perform the filling process, along with its die cut ability and print ability. In addition, the structure allows for an easy and consistent peel. Constantia’s time tested structure is a perfect fit for this application at Hershey.
