Coster is pleased to announce it signed on 15th November 2019 a binding agreement to complete the acquisition of Catidom SAS, a French company specialized in metal anodization. Coster will acquire the remaining 60% of Catidom’s share capital from Vacheron Industries. The acquisition will strengthen the position and offer of both companies in beauty packaging and consolidate the position of Catidom in the automotive, mechanical, sport & leisure markets. The closing of the operation is set in January 2020.

“The employees and management of Coster are excited atthe prospect of integrating metal anodization in their product offering. It will secure the supply of anodized aluminum components and add complementary services, such as metal colouring, to our perfumery portfolio, a strategic sector we are looking to expand”, said Bernard Msellati, CEO of Coster Group. “Catidom, on the other side, will be able to leverage on Coster’s international positioning and financial resources to accelerate its growth plan in luxury packaging whilst continuing to develop its automotive and other technical markets.”

Catidom and Coster are both family owned companies that have based their success on entrepreneurship and industrial excellence. From its production site in Annecy, Catidom serves clients mainly in the field of beauty packaging (perfumery, make-up), automotive, mechanical, sport & leisure applications. Its fully automated production lines are patented throughout Europe, Asia and North America.

“I wish to thank Frédéric Vacheron for his passion and foresight, he and his team established a beautiful company based on the values of technical excellence, integrity, sustainability and innovation – which are the same we share in Coster. The two companies will now closely work together to pursuit our common growth objectives”, commented Bernard Msellati.

After the acquisition is finalized, Catidom will continue to operate as wholly-owned subsidiary of Coster continuing to sell and support its full line of products and services from Annecy.
