The customer event „Packaging Printing – From final artwork to print result” took place in the PackRight Academy of DS Smith Fulda at the end of October. The seminar provided a wide overview of the different printing processes.
Customers of well-known branded companies like Bayer CropScience AG, LSI Netherlands B.V., Greenland Seafood Wilhelmshaven GmbH und Cofresco Frischhalteprodukte GmbH & Co. KG participated at the two-day seminar with its interesting presentations as well as a plant tour through the production and especially the printing area.
Content of the seminar
On the first day the focus lay on the characteristics and the field of applications of the most important printing processes like flexo-pre- and -postprint, offset printing as well as the digital printing. The internal speakers explained the printing processes in detail, the differences, the limits and the areas of use. Samples of the printing processes as well as many opportunities of refinement were shown during a workshop. Therefore the customers could deepen the things they had heard before with real examples. On the second day the section of pre-press was in the center of attention. Our display and packaging strategists talked about design, data quality, proofing and print approval in detail.
The plant tour through the production and printing department of the site in Fulda aroused a great enthusiasm. All the things named in the presentations could be seen live in practice. Natasha Brandt from W. Neudorff GmbH KG said: “Especially I liked the detailed insights in the printing processes as well as the great plant tour and interesting presentations.” Michael Salzmann of Borco-Marken-Import Matthiesen GmbH & Co. KG agreed: “The presentations were really exciting and informative. Very well done!”
