    European Genetics Institute

One of the most advanced and cutting edge investigation centers in Europe

    About us

The genetic laboratory European Genetics Institute (EGI) is one of the most advanced and cutting edge investigation centers in Europe. It is formed by a multidisciplinary team of prestigious international university professors, medical geneticists, doctors of molecular biology, anatamo-pathologists and nutritional experts from the most well-known universities.

We have published investigations and studies in the leading international scientific journals in the genetic and molecular biology sectors including the following journals: Trends in Genetics, TheorericalAppliedGenetic, Plant Molecular Biology and ThePlantCell.

We have been part of research projects funded by various institutions such as the European Union (EU), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCYT), Ministry of Education and Science, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, CIEMAT and the CSN (Council for Nuclear Safety).

At European Genetics Institute we are proud to have contributed with studies related to cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular problems, dermatological problems, and food allergens and intolerances, thus making us indisputable leaders on an international level.

In order to carry out our genetic analysis, we rely on partners at the forefront of technology such as Life Technology, world leaders in MICROARRAY technology, the most advanced DNA readers in the sector.

Likewise, we also collaborate with and service large institutions such as the CSIC (Higher Council for Scientific Research) and CIEMAT (Centre of investigations for Energy Environment and Technology).

European Genetics Institute (EGI) has an extensive experience in genetic analysis development in different medicine fields, thus bringing genetics closer, through different objective tests, to thousands of patients worldwide.

    Mission

The European Genetic Institute (EGI) has assumed a commitment with society, our main mission is to make accessible, for the first time, genetic diagnostics which help to solve both day-to-day problems as well as severe illnesses problems, that when treated in time, can be diminished and even eradicated.

We understand that genetics is more than a necessity, it is a right, and by means of our simple diagnostic system we are able to distribute (within 72 hours) a simple epithelial cell extraction kit anywhere in the world. The difference between our extraction kit and other diagnostic systems, i.e. blood extraction, is that the patient doesn´t have to go to a specialized center, or the avoidance of qualified personnel at the extraction moment. Furthermore, the biological test does not require any special temperature conditions and does not result in an indecipherable diagnosis for the user. European Genetics Institute has revolutionized the diagnosis market by avoiding these complications and delivering a simple method which is easy to read and can be automatically applied.

Eliminating these obstacles and our knowledge in the genetics field puts us at the forefront of the scientific community and makes us part of the new science based on the 4 P’s (Preventive, Participatory, Personalized and Predictive).

Preventative: Knowing in advance what to avoid and why, and adapting our way of life to prevent illness development.

Participatory: The patient decides and participates by deciding about their health. The attention is proactive, not reactive.

Personalized: Categorizing each person according to their susceptibility in order to determine illnesses or therapeutic interventions.

Predictive: It is not so much about waiting, or even avoiding something that will occur, but more about knowing what will happen and preventing it from happening in the future.

We have managed to revolutionize medicine world, changing it into a precise medicine, carrying out genetic tests which are capable of predicting future diseases and preventing future illnesses and pathologies.

We deciphered the genetic code, making it accessible to anyone.
