Fire protection is an absolute priority for FM-Plast. This is not only because plastic is extremely flammable but also because the company has had bitter experiences with a significant fire that took place in September 1992. The fire had caused immense damage to the entire production line, including the machines. However, the fortunate intervention of the fire brigade had prevented the flames from spreading to the office wing and most of the tools stored on site.

FM-Plast was able to resume production promptly after the fire, thanks in part to the invaluable support of the local community. While the company was able to weather the devastating effects of the fire, it's important to acknowledge that even minor fires can have significant and prolonged consequences.

Earlier this year, FM-Plast organized a session for designated fire protection assistants and other interested parties to practice extinguishing a small fire under the guidance of a professional. Attendees were also given essential information on the proper use of fire extinguishers and best practices for extinguishing fires.
