Santa Catarina, October 11, 2017 – Next Monday (October 16), Klabin will shut down the Correia Pinto Unit in Santa Catarina for general maintenance, which will last until October 26.The shutdown involves the suspension of operations at the plant for inspection and maintenance of all the equipment in order to ensure operational safety and quality of the production process.

To carry out the maintenance activities, about 1,100 workers were hired, which will bring economic benefits to the city of Correia Pinto since the movement of people in the region will increase considerably.During the period, there will be an increase in property rentals and hotel occupancy, and busier commercial activity in general.

While the Maintenance Shutdown procedures are being carried out at the unit, variations in odor and noise from the plant may be noticed. However, Klabin emphasizes that these possible changes do not cause any damage to health or the environment.
