Kotkamills Consumer Boards will be present at FachPack from the 27th to the 29th of September 2016 in Nuremberg, Germany. This autumn the company is introducing a brand new range of packaging boards, AEGLE for folding boxboards, and ISLA for food service boards.

In addition to the new brands of paperboard, visitors of FachPack will have the opportunity to learn about Kotkamills’ new range of unique water-based dispersion coated barriers that are fully recyclable with normal paper waste. The range of barrier boards will be launched later this year.

Both AEGLE and ISLA are produced on Kotkamills’ new board machine BM2 that started production in July.

“Our new machine is the most versatile board machine in the world. It offers numerous possibilities for converters, brand owners and designers. This also makes us a flexible supplier of folding boxboard and food service board,” says Yrjö Aho, Director of New Business Development of Kotkamills Consumer Boards.

Both ISLA and AEGLE are now available to order. Aho is particularly excited about the fact that Kotkamills is bringing something totally innovative to the market.

“Both ISLA and AEGLE really are products of the future. They are fully recyclable and repulpable paperboard that come with the option of recyclable barriers, when required, without any compromise in quality.”

Since beginning production earlier this year, Kotkamills Consumer Boards is now starting to serve two main end use markets with its premium quality paperboard. The market for food service boards for disposable cups and plates and the market for the production of packaging for food, confectionery, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.

The raw material for all Kotkamills’ board products are procured from certified Nordic forests.
