LINHARDT is very happy and proud to announce that its NextGen PCR plastic tube for the Cien Sun product series has won the etma Tube of the Year Award 2025 in the Sustainability category!
Once again, the award by the European Tube Manufacturers Association (etma) impressively highlights the performance, creativity, and innovative strength of the European tube industry. With PCR plastic tubes for Cien Sun, available at Lidl in the UK and Spain, LINHARDT is making significant strides towards making plastic packaging as sustainable as possible. The company's approach: sun protection must not be an afterthought, and neither should sustainable packaging.
As a prototype, the NextGen PCR plastic tube — the first PE-HD/LLD PCR tube on the market in which both materials (rPE-HD and rPE-LLD) are made from 100% post-consumer recycled material, and featuring a TopTube closure — already won the German Packaging Award 2024 in the Sustainability category, as well as the WorldStar Award 2025. It has now been successfully brought to market, and the team is very grateful that this milestone has been recognised with a Tube of the Year Award.
