Luxe Pack Shanghai's 9th edition, which concluded on April 14th, 2016 ended as a great success. The show attracted 3895 visitors, up 2.5% versus 2015. Still in its renowned business-oriented atmosphere, the show was even more dynamic and qualitative than ever!

More than 150 exhibitors showed innovative packaging solutions to fulfil brand expectations; high-profile participants have commented on the show with many positive reactions.

Luxe Pack Shanghai 2016 legitimately provided exclusive insights on design, trends, innovation, and sustainability, thus serving the industry as an exceptional international platform for creative packaging and as a market benchmark.

  • This 2016 edition hosted more than 150 exhibitors from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, France, Germany, U.S.A., Italy, Sweden etc…
  • 37 new exhibitors joined the trade show with new innovative products and know-how
  • The top industry suppliers were addressing to cosmetics, perfume, fine foods, wine & spirits, etc…. markets, offering cutting-edge and innovative packaging solutions to visitors.

World leading exhibitors specializing in creative packaging consider Luxe Pack Shanghai as the perfect show to meet with top luxury brands, to find business opportunities and new clients. Some of them have even signed order on site!

The show attracted 3895 visitors, showing a 2.5% increase from last year.

Still faithful to a boutique-like show concept, with high selectivity, the visitors profile remains very qualitative: 54% of brands senior-level executives such as CEO, Purchasing,Marketing and Communication Directors, more than 35% of Design and R&D managers, thus shaping the “CLUB Luxe Pack”.

Cosmetics/ perfumery, food, wines and spirits, fashion accessories, jewelry/watches, tobacco are the main sectors visiting the show.

74% of brands that visited Luxe Pack Shanghai 2016 are Chinese companies, 16% are international brands based in China and 10% are foreign brand names.

Turbo Talks: A huge success for these dynamic and exciting presentations! Through 2 minute speeches from leading companies, visitors can discover the latest innovations. A new concept that matches brands’ demands: a general view on what’s going on in the packaging industry!

Luxe Pack Masterclass: A record-breaking attendance confirmed visitors’ great interest for this relevant and educational programme: exclusive feedbacks from top-industry representatives and experts to share the latest in packaging trends, design and business insights.

Luxe Pack Arena showcased a large array of exhibitors’ innovative products, including outer packaging, container, material, gift… etc. Through this one-stop area, visitors can find inspirational insights and their ideal suppliers efficiently.

Luxe Pack Trends Incubator: Partnered with Centdegres, this new area was designed to create the future packaging trends of China. Guiding brands to their specific DNA trends, the “Mix & Match Wall” was successfully welcomed by visitors. Based on the inputs of the Luxe Pack Trends Incubator, the illustrations embodied ideas that may lead to new business opportunities.

Relating the story of five innovative perfumes, the “Fragrance Retrospective Wall” was an inspirational place for visitors: How to create, think, design and produce a perfume? Which story to tell, which elements to highlight and above all, how to innovate?

Luxe Pack in Green: A prestigious jury panel of industry thought leaders and experts awarded 2 Luxe Pack in green prizes:

-The best packaging solution committed to the environment was awarded to FAVINI for its “Naturally Clicquot 3”, a new, fully biodegradable and recyclable packaging, blending with water and natural fibers made from the skins of the grapes, in order to replace a portion of the cellulose from tree origin.

- The most relevant CSR action was awarded to Shanghai Sunglow Packaging Technology for its “Green Pen Container”, made of the wastes of BOBST die-cutting machines which can be also used as a table calendar. A smart and efficient way of recycling, showing the company’s engagement towards environment.

Also entering the “Luxe Pack in Green Hall of Fame”:

- UDN Packaging Corp with its PCR One piece tube, and

- Gruppo CORDENONS for its Papermilk paper.

The Luxe Pack in green jury members with Favini and Shanghai Sunglow Packaging representatives, and trophy designer Excel packaging General Manager. Following years of resounding success, growth and development, Luxe Pack Shanghai 2016 confirms to be the most relevant international platform for creative packaging, design and trends.

The 2017 event will take place in April 12th and 13th, 2017 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center! Save the date for the 10th edition of Luxe Pack Shanghai!
