His Royal Highness, The Duke of York, KG, visits Macbey

Europe, UK, Ireland, Primary Packaging, Metal Tins, Metal, Metal - Aluminium

The Duke of York visited Macbey on 11th July, 2016. Our staff were honoured and delighted to welcome His Royal Highness to our factory. The Duke of York learned about Macbey from Huddersfield University, with whom we have been working on production technology, and chose to visit us when he came to the town.

His Royal Highness heard a brief history of Macbey’s founding in 2013, and went on to tour the production floor where staff answered many searching questions about production scheduling, the manufacturing process, their roles in the business and the training and improvements they have undertaken. Invited customers and suppliers were then treated to an ad-hoc customer forum, with The Duke facilitating a discussion about how customers were won back by Macbey and the essential elements of a good supplier, exposing a groundswell of opinion that Macbey really are delivering what they said they would.

Finally His Royal Highness unveiled a commemorative plaque and was presented with some specially embossed aluminium containers bearing his crest and the logo of Pitch@Palace, his own programme to encourage and support entrpreneurs.

Macbey is proud to support Pitch@Palace, and to supply tins for their souvenir packs.
