MJS Packaging product spotlight: Closures

Every bottle or jar needs a closure, right?

That’s why we’ve dedicated this product spotlight to three new closures that have come to MJS Packaging! These three closures include:

    • 50% PCR Closures
    • Color Production Stock Closures
    • Metallized Closures

Each packaging closure provides more than just a functional service. They can also communicate brand messaging, highlight brand logos, or make the aesthetic of each container stand out from the competition.

50% PCR Closures

This particular type of closure is noteworthy because of the materials used to manufacture it. Comprised of 50% post consumer resin (PCR) and 50% virgin polypropylene, this certain type of closure is a very eco-friendly option.

Post-Consumer Resin (PCR)

Post-Consumer Resin (PCR) is material made from 100% recycled materials, including recycled water bottles, soda bottles, or other containers collected during the recycling process.

Generally speaking, the more PCR content you can put in each of your bottles, the bigger the positive impact you’ll have on the environment. That’s why we feel these particular closures are especially noteworthy!

PCR products also usually show some inclusions, we recommend choosing darker colors for your closures rather than light, transparent colors. All of our 50% PCR closures are currently offered in black. PCR and Virgin Polypropylene closures come in several disc-top and snap-top styles.

Color Production Stock Closures

The availability of these new production stock color closures is second to none. Ready to go at one of our manufacturing facilities, these production stock closures have incredibly short lead times. There is also no delay for color matching and re-matching, and you can order your production stock closures in 7 different colors:

Blue
Brown

Metallized Closures

Metallized closures are perfect for those in the spirits or beauty industry. Whether you’re looking for the perfect decoration for a jar of beauty cream or bottle of fine gin, high-quality metallization effects produce a beautiful finished product worthy of any consumer’s attention.

The aesthetic of a simple plastic closure can be completely transformed through the metallizing process, which is completed by applying a thin layer of precious metal. The result is a beautiful mirror-like surface with a deep, rich color.

Metallized closures can be ordered in any custom color, with a minimum order of 10,000 pieces. To order your eye-catching metallized closure, contact MJS Packaging today. Our knowledgeable packaging specialists will be more than happy to assist you.

Full-Color Digitally Printed Closures

Although these closures aren’t on the top of our list for “new” closures, full-color digitally printed closures are among the most popular due to their

Affordability
Color Options
Incorporation of Variable-Data Printing
Low Minimum Order Quantity
With variable-data printing it’s easy to personalize items that were previously impossible to personalize, simply for the high cost of doing so. Ready to learn more?

6 Great closure ideas to perfectly dispense your products

You’ve created the perfect product, designed the ideal bottle, and crafted the best label design yet. What else could you possibly need? Well, there’s one thing you shouldn’t overlook – how the product is going to be dispensed. The product has to come out of the bottle somehow, right? Packaging designed for millennials

As each new generation enters into the consumer spotlight, new challenges and opportunities arise for brands. The millennial generation’s attention span has reportedly diminished down to about 5 seconds due to constant picture scrolling, watching videos, and being served ads at every corner. This means that product packaging must grab their attention quickly, provide relevant information about the product, and do it with better packaging design than the competition.
