Olive's GlassPolymer bottles now in soft textured matt finish

  • Olive Packaging

There are now 2 different looks for OlivePackaging's GlassPolymer™ bottles! Choose the original GlassPolymer bottle with superior clarity which offers more benefits than glass, despite its similar look or the new heavy PP bottle with a super soft, matt finish for more cost efficiency.

OlivePackaging's heavy PP bottles have been produced using an in-molding frosting effect through the company's current glasspolymer molds and Olive has recently added these frost effect blow bottles into its GlassPolymer standard lines, which include New york, Boston, Monaco and Sydney.

The new finish means that customers can design or manage new products and have them showcased either in a transparent glass-like bottle or a normal plastic bottle with a matt finish that is super soft to the touch. OlivePackaging has 2 different materials to realize these 2 options according to customer's requests, with same molds, ensuring that the final shape will be exactly same, whichever is chosen.

The soft & matt touch finish is afforded by a special material named 'Matt PP' which has has almost exactly the same characteristics as regular PP, so costs are reduced through the material cost without the need for any additional spray coating to get the matt effect.

All of OlivePackaging GlassPolymer bottles are available for production in these 2 ways upon request!

PP is well known as a very safe material for any kind of content, and is used widely throughout the packaging industry.

Visitors to the forthcoming Bologna Cosmopack exhibition will be able to view this innovation from OlivePackaging, at stand D10, in hall 18, as well as speak to the company's representatives to find out more!

Olive Packaging's customized tooling project: Urban Eco

The SAEM's Urban Eco project is just one of the many successful products designed and produced by Olive Packaging. Comprised of PETG, the HEB process has created containers with a thick wall and bottom whose clarity mimics that of a glass bottle yet has only a third of the weight when compared to glass. The PETG bottle offers a shatter-proof packaging with excellent chemical resistance. Furthermore, when compared to ordinary PET packaging it is 5-10 times heavier offering a far bolder, more sophisticated visual impact.
