Once again it became clear that the Hannover Messe is one of the world’s most important sector events with around 5,000 exhibitors from more than 70 countries. This year Pöppelmann´s participation in the trade fair was a great success: numerous trade fair visitors were greeted by our trade fair team on our well-attended exhibition stands in hall 6 and hall 21. Our business divisions KAPSTO® and K-TECH® informed the visitors about our innovative solutions and numerous new products, such as GPN 241. "We are very satisfied with this year´s result. The trade fair visitors had a keen interest in our products. The HMI also enables us to exchange information on current topics and to network with our partners," says Thorsten Koldehoff, Sales Manager of Pöppelmann KAPSTO®. "We were able to conduct many good discussions on the basis of concrete project examples and to win some new customers. We look forward to the upcoming projects and to good cooperation."

In focus: the new service offer FastLane

The basis for many expert discussions was, among other things, our new optional service offer: FastLane – customer-specific special parts in record time. Here too, Pöppelmann has the finger on the pulse. Because the topic of speed in development and production of special parts is a central issue for many customers. Pöppelmann will set new standards in the future as a large number of individually developed protective elements made of plastic can be produced even more quickly. As soon as our customers submit a request with this new service, they will receive - after a positive feasibility check - the quotation within 24 hours as well as an article draft consisting of a technical drawing or sketch. After the design of the part based on CAD-data is completed, a first prototype is created within a week. After the prototype is approved our customers receive first off tool parts from serial production of their custom-made design after one month.

Plastic injection moulding parts become lighter.

Our innovative solutions for weight-reduction of high-precision technical injection moulded parts, which were presented by our K-TECH® business division, attracted great interest among the trade fair visitors. Lightweight design is no longer a core task restricted to the automotive industry. Also in other industries the total weight reduction is of high importance - especially if a part of the operating costs can be saved. With the MuCell® technique we developed solutions that offers more functions with reduced weight and simultaneous cost control. Another option that we have already successfully used in serial production are organic sheets. These can be combined with MuCell® components.

Experience Industry 4.0 live: award for Pöppelmann and Arburg.

The plastics specialist Pöppelmann and the machine manufacturer Arburg demonstrated how a modern individualised mass production with spatially divided production facilities can look by the production of a personalised smart luggage tag. The live demonstration that was shown on both stands initiated an active exchange between the Pöppelmann trade fair team and the trade fair visitors. Particularly pleasant: The joint live demonstration received the award Highlights@Industrial Supply. The prize is awarded by a high-level expert jury and judges the solutions according to the criteria profitability, technological innovation level, environment and society. The exhibitors that could convince with the most innovative supplier solution has been recorded in the guide Highlights@Industrial Supply - including product description and trade fair location. "This award confirms that we are on the right track. In order to keep answering our customer’s high expectation, we will continue to improve our solutions to make them even more perfect," says Thorsten Koldehoff.
