The blister packing machine R 760 manufactured by Rohrer for Oxytabs, a leading tablet producer, is perfectly aligned with the customer's corporate philosophy. The tablets for cleaning, descaling and disinfecting are produced in accordance with GMP guidelines and high demands on quality. The machine's extensive flexibility when working simultaneously with multiple parameters swung the decision in its favor. Specially adapted forms enable the descaling tablets to be blistered in deep plastic packaging. The machine is capable of producing round and square cavities up to 44 mm deep. Up to 3 tablets can be stacked in each cavity with a production rate of up to 80 packages per minute (20 cycles). This makes it easy to create different application scenarios for product apportioning.
Upgrading or converting the blister packaging machine to accommodate changes or new requirements for plastic packaging is a quick process thanks to its comprehensive modularity. The machine consists of a basic module (used here as a form module), a threefold manual feed area that can be upgraded with an optional automatic feed, a sealing module and a punch/discharge module. In this configuration the plant is only approximately 7 meters long and 2 meters wide (with the maintenance doors open) and saves valuable production space.
