Astrapak welcomes Ms. Futhi Buthelezi to the team as the Group Human Resources Executive, from May 2017.

Ms. Buthelezi qualified with an Honours Degree in Human Resources before embarking on her career, where she joined Nampak Flexibles in 1998 as a Human Resources Officer. Thereafter, Ms. Buthelezi was promoted to HR Manager and then HR Director.

Having experienced first-hand the transition of a global company acquiring a South African business, Ms. Buthelezi is well equipped to deal with the tasks at Astrapak when the RPC transition comes into effect. “The integration into a new organisation has its challenges, and the experience I have will assist me during this process.”

Speaking about Astrapak, she said, “When interacting with colleagues, I can see that there has been a vast amount of work done amongst the employees and they have come a long way to make the business more functional. I look forward to adding my contribution and to participating in the transition to align our processes and human capital strategies to those of RPC. I’d like to see ourselves becoming the employer of choice within our country and the Group at large.”

Ms. Buthelezi said that she relished interacting with people and seeing them grow in their careers, as well as nurturing talent and introducing talent into the organisation.

When she is not working and can manage some time out, Ms. Buthelezi channels her energy into exercise at the gym, or relaxes while listening to her music collection or reading.
