      Customers in France who love tasty traditional products can now enjoy authentic crème fraîche from Normandy packed in tubs developed in collaboration with RPC Bebo Bouxwiller.

      For more than 100 years, the Graindorge family has been turning tasty milk from Normandy into cheese and a range of dairy products. Today, the Graindorge company is the market leader in Pont-l’Evêque and Livarot cheeses.

      RPC Bebo Bouxwiller is producing a 750g tub and lid for Graindorge’s traditional premium crème fraiche, which is sold at cheese counters in large retailers.

      The thermoformed polypropylene tub has been specifically designed for dairy applications. It combines lightweight and safe handling with tight-fitting lids to maintain the freshness of the products after opening. For added consumer convenience, a tab on the lid assists easy opening.

      In particular, the tubs for Graindorge feature attractive and eye-catching illustrations, produced by eight colour printing, to highlight the quality, authenticity and tradition of the crème fraiche. RPC Bebo’s expertise in decoration techniques was critical to achieving the required impact on-shelf.

      A pot of quality

      A bespoke multilayer pot from RPC Bebo Bouxwiller is helping to deliver quality of product and presentation for a new range of sheep’s milk specialities from leading French dairy company Le Petit Basque. For its Douceur de Brebis desserts, Le Petit Basque required a packaging solution that was aesthetically pleasing while also guaranteeing the taste, freshness and extended life of the product. A key marketing requirement was that the inside of the pot should be white to emphasise the quality and purity of the dessert and the exterior sky blue to match the company’s iconic and instantly-recognisable branding.

      RPC Bebo Plastik wins in Barcelona

      RPC Bebo Plastik's pioneering in-mould label thermoforming (IML-T) technology has been recognised at the European Thermoforming Parts Competition 2016. The company's IML-T tubs and lids took first prize in the category 'Thin Gauge – Food Packaging Applications'. Among the many benefits highlighted by the judges were the wide label coverage that can be achieved including the stacking rim of the pack and the option of barrier protection through the use of multilayer sheet, all of which can be delivered using existing tools.

      RPC's microwavable mussel trays - a new concept for Spanish seafood

      A range of microwavable mussel dishes from one of Spain's leading seafood producers is being packed in plastic trays from RPC Bebo Food Packaging. The thermoformed HDPE trays are manufactured at RPC Bebo's Kristiansand site in 400g and 1kg sizes. Their rounded design ensures that they are able to turn in the microwave during heating, while handles at each end facilitate carrying and avoid the risk of burnt fingers when the tray is removed from the microwave.
