Spectra Packaging have confirmed that they will be appearing at next month’s Packaging Innovations Show in Birmingham.

For the sixth year in succession, Spectra will be exhibiting at the prestigious UK packaging event to premier their very latest innovative offerings.

Jonathan Powell, Sales Director at Spectra said, "Packaging Innovations is the perfect event for us to launch our latest developments and this year we've certainly got a lot to shout about with new pack concepts and radical new print technologies”.

This year Spectra will also be premiering their 2016 range of innovative designs, a focal point on their stand, which has proved so popular with visitors in previous years.

Among the new designs will be a group of 10 radical looking all-in-one packs that feature different top halves with an integral plinth style base. These will come with a series of ingenious two part "stopper style" closures for a mix and match packaging solution.

Other new designs premiered will be an elegant family of conical shaped bottles that will accommodate a number of Spectra's standard closures. There's also a stylish tubular pack that features a clever clip-on style ring, which can be branded. Another new design is a cone shaped reed diffuser pack with angled open cap, which utilises Spectra's new thick glass polymer material.

In addition to showing new design prototypes, Spectra will also be premiering their latest decorative effects at the show.

These include their new Illuminate effect, a glow in the dark ink finish that lights up under ultra violet light, providing a perfect anti-counterfeit packaging solution for customers wishing to protect their brand. Another ingenious decoration offering is Spectra’s new Chameleon effect, an innovativeprint finish that changes colour, depending on the angle of light.

Additionally, Spectra have further developed their Elevate raised print finish and will be highlighting its benefits for Braille printing with their new Touch range, something Jonathan believes will be of huge benefit to customers.

"To be able to print Braille on to packaging using our raised varnishing technique as opposed to potentially expensive tooling is extremely exciting for us. Much like our advances in Biopolymer environmental materials, we are determined to forge ahead with packaging solutions that make a genuine difference", he commented.

Jonathan went on to say, "We're really looking forward to this year’s Packaging Innovations event. We have a wide range of new and exciting developments for the coming year and we're looking forward to showing them off to visitors at the show".

Spectra can be found on Stand No. B46. The show runs from Wednesday 24th to Thursday 25th February 2016.

Spectra rolls out 30% minimum recycled content standard

Our long-term desire has always been to reduce virgin material levels in our products, encouraging our customers to embrace Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content. To back up this desire, we continue to put solid and robust supply chains in place to support customer demand. Since then, we have seen more and more customers appreciate the environmental benefits of recycled content in their packaging, with many taking levels beyond 10%, in many instances as high as 100%.
