Tesem, a leading company in the manufacture of aluminium packaging, together with Pierre Tixier from the French company VIP, has developed a completely innovative concept in champagne cork covers: le parure de bouchage. This revolutionary concept replaces the traditional wire muselet and metal cap for securing the cork, while acting as an embellishment thanks to its stylish and distinctive design. The new cover is specially designed for high-end sparkling wines.

Le parure de bouchage consists of two parts: a body made of anodized aluminium and a wire belt. The aluminium body comprises a top and four tabs that are fitted to the cork and the bottle neck. The manufacturing technique of the aluminium part allows great versatility in cutting forms for the tabs, so every client can develop their own unique design. Being anodized aluminium, the part can be made in many different colours, with shiny or matte finishes. There are also many options for decoration and personalization: mechanical engraving, laser engraving or screen printing of the brand.

Le parure de bouchage has already been successfully marketed by several French brands of premium champagne. This new product allows small runs from 1000 units.

The development of this innovation is another example of the diversification process undertaken by the Tesem group, which, thanks to its extensive experience in manufacturing luxury packaging for perfumery, is now entering the market for premium spirits.
