We are delighted to announce The Sherwood Group has won ‘FMCG Packaging Printer of the Year’ Award for the second year with the PrintWeek Awards.
Having received nominations for two categories; social stationery and packaging, The Group landed the packaging award this year for its excellence in the design and print of:
•Tesco Finest Croquembouche dessert kit for Bakkavor Group
•Pattisserie De Bain bath and shower products packaging for Grafton International
•Frozen Tiara and Star Wars packaging for Kinnerton Confectionery
•Hello Kitty Winter Warmer Gift Set packaging for Kinnerton Confectionery
The Tesco Finest Croquembouche dessert kit pack stood out with the construction design created in-house by The Group’s smartcentre team. The judges commented: “Fantastic entry, easily the stand-out winner”.
The Group’s customer, Grafton International also added: “Working with Sherwood helped us maintain our high-quality benchmark with their superb print quality and knowledgeable workforce”.
Sherwood was also highly commended in the ‘Social Stationery Printer of the Year’ category with the excellent print of Nigel Quiney, The Art File, Paper Rose and Santoro greeting cards.
In addition, The Group’s strategic partner, KMD Company was shortlisted in ‘Point of Purchase Printer of the Year’ category.
Graham Garrod, The Sherwood Group’s MD who attended the award ceremony on Monday, 19th October commented:
“We are delighted to be recognised in all three markets with our printing and design excellence and to receive this award is a high accolade for all members of the team. This wouldn’t be achieved without our customers’ support. We are once again very grateful to Bakkavor Group, Grafton International and Kinnertons for their contribution towards this achievement and we hope we can continue to build strong, long term working relationships”.
