TNT Global Manufacturing wins the grand prize at 2022 NJPEC Package of the year event

TNT Global Manufacturing has won the grand prize at 2022 NJPEC Package of the year event, …and not only that!

The NJPEC 2022 Package of the Year ceremonial dinner was held on December 1st, 2022 at the Madison Hotel in Morristown, NJ (USA). TNT Global Manufacturing won a total of 8 awards in the contest.

Christian Louboutin’s Loubiworld caps and collars took The Package of the Year award, the Gold Prize in the Fragrance category, and also the Gold Prize for Visual & Marketing impact. Louboutin's Loubiworld collection combines the elegance of the brand's iconic red and the metallic shine of nickel. TNT Global Manufacturing brought the brand’s creative design to life when producing the 2 piece collar (made of an aluminum chimney and a brass plate, respectively anodized and electroplated) and the heavily detailed caps made of 100% recyclable Zamak. Each head is embellished with red details in epoxy or plastic. 7 distinct patterns/personalities complete this fairy collection.

These caps are the result of extensive study and expertise, especially in unmolding processes. They respect the details of the design while limiting the number of zamak parts, like the body of the crocodile, which is made in one piece. It was a great project that also challenged the team in both the assembly and polishing processes. Finally, each cap is finished with a red insert, made of red PP.

Christian Louboutin’s Abracadabra Refillable palette compact also won in the contest, taking the Silver prize for the Color Cosmetics category. The design of its luxurious, magnetic, refillable makeup case is adorned with the iconic Christian Louboutin silver spikes. There are both red and black versions, each incorporating the codes of the brand’s iconic shoe sole. A metallic key, also produced by TNT Global Manufacturing, assists in the removal of the pan and to replace the color palette.

Byredo Wooden Boxes Limited Edition was another TNT Global Manufacturing winner, taking the Bronze price in the Gift Set Category. These 6 unique boxes were designed to magnify Byredo perfumes, candles and make-up. Inspired by Ben Gorham’s Indian heritage, they combine the simplicity of raw pine wood (FSC) with multicolored geometric patterns drawing on the vivid visual language of Madhubani painting (Artist: Mamta Devi).

Each case contains wooden inlays that can be removed, allowing the boxes to be endlessly re-purposed. The models with mirrors were designed with articulated hinges allowing to accompany the opening and closing movements without risk of damaging the embedded mirrors. A special mention for the perfectly aligned screen-printed patterns, sometimes up to 6 colors.

Rose Goldea Blossom Delight by BVLGARI, won the Silver Award in the Fragrance category with its recycled zamak collar and aluminum stovepipe, made by TNT Global Manufacturing. The injected white epoxy decor personalizes the ring of this fragrance. TNT Global Manufacturing met 3 technical challenges:

  • The combination of gold shades between anodized aluminum and galvanized recycled zamak;
  • The meticulous filling of epoxy resin in cavities;
  • The precise polishing to homogenize the whole piece, and the engraved logo on the top of the collar also.

The amazing topper of the 30th anniversary edition of Monte Stambecco’s Maraschino Amaro won the Silver Prize in the Food & Beverage Category. Biggar & Leith entrusted TNT Global Manufacturing to crown the Italian liqueur’s bottle with an outstanding head of a mountain ram-shaped stopper made of 3 silver electroplated zamak pieces. A metal plate with stainless steel disc inside the hollow stopper allows for assembly with the red plastic cork. This iconic piece was 3D modeled by Carl Fordham and produced by TNT Global Manufacturing. Demolding, assembling and polishing the horns was a complex operation.
