On Global Recycling Day and beyond, we're are focusing on the recycling of aerosols. Aerosol cans add a layer of complexity due to their pressurized contents and plastic components. These cans, made from recyclable materials like aluminium and steel, often require specific handling to ensure safety and efficiency, depending on local recycling guidelines and facilities. Consumer awareness and proper disposal practices are crucial to improving recycling rates.

In Argentina, we are proud to partner with the urban recycler who collects aerosol aluminum cans from consumers' homes and processes them using machinery provided by Trivium. This machinery compacts the aerosols, making them safe for recycling. The compacted aerosols are then melted down to produce aluminum ingots, which are used to create new products. This initiative aims to boost recycling rates, support the local community, and promote a circular economy.
