“More skincare and less makeup” is the beauty trend for this spring-summer season, without a trace of eye shadow or lipstick.

The no-makeup look has been gaining strength for a long time and is now establishing itself as a top trend for the moment.

The winning look on the Paris catwalks

It's the winning look on the Paris catwalks, featuring in fashion shows by world-renowned designers and even the faithful lovers of bold black eye-liner for well-defined smoky eyes, combined with powerful red lips, such as Saint Laurent or Dior. For this spring they have eliminated all sophisticated makeup in favor of models with healthy, beautiful, clean skin.

It is also a logical proposal in times when sustainability and responsible consumption are a social challenge and concern at a global level.

"Many consumers prefer to invest in skincare cosmetics rather than makeup. It's known as the 'skincare effect', and it responds to the consumer’s interest in wellness and sustainability."

On top of that, we have an incipient search for health and well-being, a search that has undoubtedly changed and will change our consumption habits even more. Today, many consumers prefer to invest in skincare cosmetics rather than makeup. It's known as the 'skincare effect', and it responds to the consumer’s interest in wellness and sustainability. For years the catwalk has been a recognized place for the presentation of extravagance and the most creative looks, but this year it is naked, natural skin that is top.

This skincare trend to show a beautiful and enhanced appearance of naturalness is a proposal that aligns perfectly with other current trends such as the desire to take more care of ourselves, to be greener and healthier, and feel better about ourselves, plus the satisfaction of a  responsible consumption of cosmetics.

Virospack offers a large range of cosmetic bottles and droppers, ideal for containing and for using skincare products with precision, safety and comfortably, following the latest trend for spring-summer 2020.

Don't forget your highlighter - this season's top trend

When we think of Spring/Summer make-up, we always picture radiant, dewy skin, tanned cheeks and a pretty pastel colour palette. Whilst these looks remain a permanent summer essential, this year summer comes loaded with new glittering and metallic looks, but if there is one essential product this season, it is undoubtedly the highlighter, and Virospack's cosmetic droppers offer dedicated followers of the trend an easy way to apply liquid illuminator.

Virospack awards innovation in packaging

The tenth edition of the National Design and Sustainability Awards came to a close on May 16th at an event held in Valencia, Spain, where the finalists and winner of the 2019 challenge were announced. The challenge was set by Virospack at the beginning of the year in an academic collaboration agreement signed with the “Cluster del Envase y Embalaje” to support packaging training and development. It was a demanding challenge whereby the students had to present a new dropper that brought innovation, emotion and sustainability all together.

The certified secure dropper for CBD

Virospack presents a new classic dropper with a special safety closing system —the first in the cosmetics packaging industry— certified by the CRF (Code of Federal Regulations) as childproof. Developed in response to the current needs and regulations of the beauty industry, the Secure Dropper has been specially designed to prevent product misuse by young children. It also serves to protect cosmetics that are formulated with ingredients that, by legislation, need tighter security.

The integral relationship between sustainability and innovation

At Virospack CSR has been one of the cornerstones of the business since it began in 1956. For over 60 years the Spanish Dropper Company has been working to ensure that every member of the team feels at home, whilst respecting the environment as the home of the business, to ensure minimal impact. As the family business has grown, so too have the measures which the company assures for both a happy workplace and healthy planet for future generations to enjoy.

Virospack commits to academic training in packaging to encourage creativity and innovate young talent

The National Packaging Design and Sustainability Awards seek to promote innovation, design and sustainability in the packaging sector, as well as strengthen the link between the business world and university study. This reflects two long-standing goals in Virospack's CSR plan and its commitment to creativity and innovation, trusting in academic training and motivating young talents as Virospack increases its University support each year.
