| Storage and Handling Store Visqueen IGW Pipe Strap in a clean, dry environment in its original packaging. The product should not be exposed to long periods of ultraviolet light or weathering.
Care should be taken when handling the product in line with current manual handling regulations.
| Preparation Ensure the substrate is free from contamination such as concrete residue, dust, dirt, oil or grease. Ensure the substrate is not water logged, however a damp substrate can be tolerated. | |
| Installation Extend the pipe strap around the pipe and interlock the crossed end of the strap into the toothed recess. Ensure that the strap is tight against the pipe and that the tail end of the strap lies flat against the pipe and is not twisted or folded.
The pipe strap should be positioned so as to ensure a minimum of 80mm concrete coverage at all edges.
Once applied, pour concrete over the exposed pipe strap within 48 hours. Prior to pouring the concrete, the pipe strap should be inspected for damage and premature swelling. Damaged and/or swollen product must be replaced at this stage.
When pouring the concrete, compact well around the pipe strap taking particular care not to dislodge or damage the product during the process.
| Usable temperature range It is recommended that Visqueen IGW Pipe Strap should not be installed below 5°C. | |
