YUGA jazzes up anodized metal lipstick packs with hot stamping!

Hot stamping utilizes heat and pressure to apply metallic foil or holographic-type images to packaging components to create a unique, one-of-a-kind look. It’s a common decorative technique to enhance a packaging's appearance by adding little extra effort.

Not only available for plastic components, Yuga’s production team has successfully achieved the addition of hot stamping decoration on top of an anodized aluminium part to further elaborate the metallic surface, with a more sparkly or shiny effect depending on the foil type and color chosen.

The process is relatively simple. After anodizing, the aluminium component may then have the desired print area silk screen printed. The silk screen printing adds a necessary layer for the hot stamp foil to firmly attach to the surface. It is also possible to add another UV coating layer on top of all of the decoration to protect from scratches.
