    Aetnagroup

Aetna Group, is the world leader in the packaging sector, specialised in end-line solutions.

    GROUP HISTORY

The story of AETNA GROUP starts at the beginning of the 1980's when ROBOPAC, a small company based in the Republic of San Marino, devised a revolutionary solution, whose patent is recognised all over the world. The company produced a self-propelled robotic machine with rechargeable batteries and probe , which automatically turns around pallets of any size and shape, applying a stretchable film, which protects and stabilises the load.

Robopac soon became an international leader in the field of semi-automatic machines for stretchable film application with the aim of stabilising palletised loads. Over time, the company has developed a vast range of technologies: rotating tables, horizontal wrapping machines for elongated products, packaging machines for heat-shrink film application and taping machines.

In 1987, ROBOPAC SISTEMI was created, which started the production of systems and automatic machines to stabilise palletised loads with film that is stretchable up to 100 pallets/hour. Since the beginning, the company has stood out for its ability to design machines based on specific customer demands and for proposing highly technological solutions, which guarantee high production levels, as well as a punctual after-sales service, providing timely and helpful responses.

With the goal of creating a leading Group which provides customers with valid solutions for packaging, in 1989, the company acquired DIMAC, a firm that had been working within the sector for more than ten years. This Business Unit produces and commercialises a wide range of continuous film shrink wrappers with heat-shrink film and high and medium speed wrap-around cartoning machines, as well as tray packers and packaging machines for can caps, all destined for various fields (food, beverages, pharmaceutical, etc.).

In 2010, AETNA GROUP also incorporated PRASMATIC, a company specialised, since 1977, in the designing, manufacturing, and installation of packaging and wrapping systems in heat-shrink film and cardboard for various sectors, including food, beverages, dairy, home and personal care etc.
