    Casone Spa

    Casone Spa

Since 1973 Casone has been producing multi-use plastic packaging for the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and hospital sectors.

    History

The Casone Company was founded in 1973 by the Adami brothers on the land that at the time, jointly with two other farms, was called “I Casoni”, and was worked by the family. Thanks to the founders’ sacrifices, perseverance and foresight, the very small factory grew and established itself over time. During the first decade, the wheat, tomato, grape and fruit tree cultivations were gradually replaced by moulding machines and changing rooms for the steadily increasing number of workers. Gradually more and more office space was set up in the farmhouse bought in the 1930s by Francesco, the paternal grandfather. Only the old cellar was kept, and in 1994 the farmhouse was demolished to make way for the construction of the new building.

In the early 1980s, Casone began to be known on the foreign market as well and received prestigious awards for its innovation capacity, such as the ITALIAN PACKAGING OSCAR and the “EUROSTAR” EUROPEAN PACKAGING OSCAR.
In the 1990s it strengthened its organizational structure by diversifying the sales areas of its products and completing the extension and renovation of its plant, which currently covers a total area of 102,000 sqm.
In order to guarantee greater autonomy of maintenance and continuity of production, in 1996 an internal workshop was set up with dedicated staff.

Between 1996 and 1997 the company introduced for the first time working methods for ensuring the correct identification and traceability of production information at all stages of the cycle. These initial working methods were improved in 1999 by becoming part of a structured and documented system of procedures and instructions.
In 2001 the company set up barcoding of all its products as well as computerized management of batches and locations through a radio frequency system and a dedicated software.
In 2002 the new shop floor was built and Casone began manufacturing equipment and machinery both for internal use and for sale.
Over the last decade has Casone developed and improved its IML technology and has invested in new production lines and moulds, thus boosting its business in medium-large companies and increasing its presence in the food sector.
In 2011 a new laboratory was set up with specific equipment for testing materials and for quality control.
Today Casone is planning a further extension of its warehouse and looking to the future, thanks also to a second generation who for years now have been strongly integrated in the organization and involved in the company’s strategies.

Commitment in the present and to the future is the child of awareness of one’s own past.
The foundations of Grandfather Francesco’s farm and the historical “pear tree” deliberately preserved when planning the new building are there, discreet and silent, to remind one of the past every day.
