Collcap has developed the Fuse Eau de Toilette packaging for Marks and Spencer. Finished in a matt metallic red, with a weighted matt cap, this glass bottle represents the latest trends in men’s fragrance packaging.

The smooth, streamlined shape of the bottle gives the bold finish maximum impact to appeal to its core market, whilst the weight of the glass gives it a masculine solidity. The Collcap team brought the customer’s original vision to reality using 2D and 3D services, adjusting the bottle to allow for the required capacity whilst maintaining the customer’s requested shape and proportions.

Using the latest rapid prototyping technology, Collcap produced a working model early in the development process, sprayed to recreate the final decoration, giving the customer the opportunity to assess their future product before tooling commenced. The bottle was completed with a red metallic spray covered with a silkscreen print, creating the product’s eye-catching, very modern, surface appearance.

Collcap recommended a beaded collar for this product due to the weight of the glass bottle, and subsequently designed the inner and outer of the cap to suit this change. The solid one-piece cap was weighted in keeping with the sturdy appeal of the bottle.
