Coradin highlights molding technology incorporating in-mould assembly

    • Coradin

Coradin utilizes moulding technology, incorporating in-mould assembly. This technique, which can also be used with bi-materials, enables same-mould production of two different parts, with different colors and different materials. The parts are then assembled in the same apparatus via sophisticated robotics. This represents a net economic advantage. Since investment is limited to one tool, it is no longer necessary to add a dedicated assembly machine. With the manufacturing cycle being reduced, there are quality and reliability gains, all resulting in a significant boost in productivity.

Coradin is at the customer's disposal to study their technically advanced parts that need assembly, even bi-material moulding. Coradin uses this technique today, notably for the production of ECODIS®.

Coradin highlights the use of transfer technology for decorating injected parts. The technique used is particularly for cosmetics. On their ECODIS® parts for example, image transfer enables 5-color motifs at a very moderate price.

The choice to include microinjection in its workshop was motivated by the company's development of technologically cutting-edge parts, notably medical procedure parts and pharmaceutical packaging. Microinjection gives Coradin the ability to quickly design prototype tooling and as a consequence to be able to give our customers solid answers based on parts produced in record time. Microinjection has proven to be a major element in their product feasibility studies, which are proposed to clients as part of custom development projects.
