Coster Group, a leading multinational manufacturer of spray and dispensing packaging components and filling machines, has announced that it has obtained UNI EN ISO 22716:2008 certification on cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for three Italian plants.

In an effort to be continuously at the forefront of the industry, Coster is the first aerosol valve and actuator manufacturer to comply with cosmetic GMPs, meeting the highest manufacturing and service standards required by the industry.

Cosmetic producers wishing to ensure GMP consistency across the supply chain may now rely on Coster.

The three newly certified plants are located in the Italian Province of Trento. Two of them (“Costerplast” and “TecnoCoster”) are dedicated to the production of spray caps and special actuators, whereas “Coster 3” is the dedicated manufacturing site for aerosol valves.

GMPs introduce a consistent management system approach to documenting and regulating the production, control, storage, and shipment of all packaging components produced in the above sites.

The procedures apply to all productions, meaning that clients – regardless if they are active in the cosmetic business or not – will equally benefit from it.

Plans to further extend the certification to other Coster plants are ongoing in order to achieve the highest level of standardization in production and quality processes across all product categories.
