Gabriel-Chemie presents its range of low-halogen and halogenfree flame retardant masterbatches for equipping thin and thick wall polyolefin products. The new low-halogen and halogen-free systems are compatible with widely available UV stabilizers. The highly concentrated masterbatch is effective in very low dosages meaning that the original mechanical properties of base polymers such as good impact resistance, high elasticity and low brittleness are not affected. It is easy to process and enables flexible colouration. Upon request formulations as a combination of several functionalities such as UV-protection, antioxidants, processing aids and lubricants, anti-block and with any desired colour tone can be provided. Typical areas of application are in the field of films, tapes, pipes and fibres for outdoor and indoor use.

Visitors at Fakuma will also be informed about an interesting range of permanent antistatics for equipping Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polystyrene etc. The list of polymers is regularly expanding. The non-migrating masterbatches are characterized by excellent permanent antistatic properties throughout the entire lifecycle of the final product. Beside that a clean, dry and well printable and weldable surface is being achieved. Effectiveness is largely independent of the moisture content of the ambient air and is ensured even under dry conditions. Application areas for permanent antistatic agents are for example technical fabrics, such as those used in mining areas or for explosion-safe big bags, plastic surfaces that need to be kept permanently free from dusting and packaging solutions for sensitive electronic components.

On debut in Friedrichshafen the new edition of the COLOUR VISION No. 16, which has once again analysed tomorrow's time spirit and worked out three exciting colour schemes, called "We Economy, Now Here Generation and Future Tech" 36 plastic colour samples are shown, which have been realized with special features and new ideas in plastic. These social trends in our society will influence the tomorrow´s world of colours, surfaces and materials of many products.
