In 1884 Luis García opened a paper bag workshop and print shop together with his wife, Francisca de Pou, in Figueres, where he had been posted a few years earlier to run the town’s first railway station. It was there that the entrepreneurial spirit of the García de Pou family began to take shape, the same spirit that has been passed down across five generations and that still remains to this day.
It was Luis García, the fourth generation of the family and current managing director, who made the decision to gear the company towards the HORECA market. From then on, García de Pou has specialised in the manufacture and sale of disposable products meeting the everyday needs of hotels, restaurants, cafés and event companies.

With a company structure formed of 400 employees, we attend to over 25,000 clients, among them Costa Cruceros, Metro, Pomona, Retif, Vega, Bunzl and GM Foods.
Exports represent 57% of company turnover. We export to France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Morocco and the Caribbean.
Our permanent stock policy guarantees immediate provisioning for customers. We also have 10,500 m² of retail outlets in Madrid, Barcelona, Màlaga and Tenerife.
