To attain world-class quality and become an industry leader, a packaging company requires a large and steady supply of paper. Green Bay Packaging founder George Kress recognized this challenge in 1948 and responded with a dedicated paper mill built for Green Bay Box Company. That business decision complemented the company’s groundbreaking spirit, which has led toindustry-shaping ideas in process technology and environmental innovation.

Industry innovations. Environmental focus.

Green Bay Packaging operates two containerboard mills that produce linerboard and corrugated medium in the full spectrum of basis weights. The Green Bay Mill uses 100% post-consumer recycled fiber, and the Arkansas Mill uses both virgin and recycled fiber. These options give Green Bay Packaging the ability to service both the virgin and recycled needs of our customers. Both mills are certified to SFI® (Sustainable Forestry Initiative®) standards with the Green Bay Mill also FSC®(Forest Stewardship Council®) certified.
The Paper Slitting Division uses trim and pulp rolls produced at the Arkansas Mill, allowing these products to be transformed into a higher value product.
The Pinecrest Lumber Division has produced a diverse product mix over the years, finding a singular focus today: supplying quality lumber.
The Fiber Resource Division manages over 210,000 acres of company-owned land while procuring saw logs for the Pinecrest Mill and the wood chips, recycled paper, and wood fuel for the Arkansas Mill.
