Christian Abicht has been appointed as new CTO at a staff meeting on November 11th 2015.  He will thus support Wolfgang Wondra, who runs the company since this past June as CFO.

The announcment came from Dr. Hans Wehrmann, CEO of the Certina Group (Munich).  Dr. Wehrmann acknowledged Christian Abichts' competence, who has worked for some 30 years within the company.  Mr. Abicht was for many years Manager of the Toolmaking Dept. and last as Technical Manager.  "Christian Abichts' appointement as CTO should bee seen as a sign that the Certina Group to secure and expand the Coburg location". as per Dr. Wehrmann.

Representatives of the IG BCE Trade Union, acknowledged the appointment of the new CTO as a "step in the right direction".
