H&T Presspart, the leading global supplier of MDI components to the pharmaceutical industry, have once again confirmed their attendance at the DDL27 (Drug Delivery to the Lungs) conference which is being held in Edinburgh from the 7-9 December 2016.
H&T Presspart will be a Silver Sponsor of the event and will be showcasing a number of new products to the market including their Connected Electronic Dose Counter and the Quantum Dose Indicator for metered-dose inhalers.
The Connected Electronic Dose Counter, which was developed in partnership with Cohero Health, incorporates electronics into a medication inhaler to passively track and communicate medication utilization. The device incorporates a sensor to track the date and time when medication is actuated, which is then stored in onboard memory, as well as shared wirelessly via Bluetooth.
It works seamlessly with Cohero Health’s platform of connected devices and mobile applications, which actively engage and empower respiratory patients by tracking medication adherence and measuring lung function.
As well as H&T Presspart’s standard range of MDI components, including metered-dose inhaler canisters and metered-dose inhaler actuators, H&T Presspart will also be promoting another innovative product, the Quantum Dose Indicator.
H&T Presspart’s patented Quantum end of life indicator has been developed to be a low cost, disposable dose indicator solution, ensuring patients don’t run out of their medication when they need it the most.
Quantum is built in to the MDI canister by H&T Presspart, and is compatible with current filling and packaging lines. The Quantum dose indicator system also features no mechanical parts, ensuring the patient has a fail-safe, robust and reliable end of life calibration system.
DDL 27 is the last respiratory drug delivery conference of the year, and as well as the exhibition area there is also a scientific conference programme and poster area. The conference runs from the 7-9 December and is held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Scotland.
